Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are. ~Malcolm S. Forbes
I am not saying that it will be easy but the journey and the destination will be totally worth it. There will be high and low moments but you will be better equipped to deal with them.
Today, I encourage you to look into the mirror and truly see yourself. Shed off the ideas and opinions of others. Shed off what you've been thinking all along. Take off the spectacles of societal expectations. Bare yourself down to the person you really are, the person you were before they told you who to be.
Make an inventory of all your assets and liabilities. Accept yourself for exactly who you are. Forgive yourself for being harsh on yourself. You don't have to be perfect. Your flaws add a beautiful dimension to you. They are proof of your strength in that how you've emerged as a result of them. Give yourself room to make mistakes. Learn from them.
Your flaws are as much a part of you as your strengths. You have to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad. Love what you got and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change, things go wrong, but remember life goes on.
In the daily humdrum of life, we often forget to do one very important thing- love ourselves.
